It was just a month ago when Dreamville dropped their highly-anticipated Revenge Of The Dreamers III project. Now, they’ve returned to deliver fans the visuals to accompany one of the more popular records on the project titled “Sacrifices” featuring EarthGang, J Cole, Smino, Saba.

Directed by Scott Lazer, Chad Tennies and David Peters, the video adapts a minimalist approach with the rappers simply performing their verses in an abandoned building. The video also has an extra special cameo from one of the Dreamville members mother. EarthGang’s Johnny Venus, who also goes by Ola, wrote in an Instagram post that his mother was flown out by the label to be in the video and detailed how the shoot also fell on the anniversary of his father’s passing.

“What most of you don’t know is that when I came home from college after my father had his stroke/ heart attack, my mother informed me that she had been cleaning buildings as a side job in order to make ends meet for the past two years since the accident,” Venus wrote. “She didn’t even tell me while I was at school y’all. So you know I hopped right in to help. We would go into sometimes rodent infested places and sweep floors, wipe toilets, mop floors, kill wasps, take out leaking trash, wipe counters, pick up trash outside, change beds, clean refrigerators from anywhere from 4am to 11pm.”

Venus also mentioned that he had to hold back tears as he wrote about the sacrifices his mother made for him. He then finished the caption by encouraging his followers to keep faith and said, “Make your bloodline proud y’all. SACRIFICE but never sacrifice yourself.”

Towards the ending, it’s revealed that the video is dedicated to Milton Ahdwele Fann, as well as “all those who have passed on.”
